A fair few Australian resorts are getting like this, not loosing the element of the wilderness and the camping spirit. Too many resorts are just outdoor hotels. Anyone can put a Vegas in a Forrest and call it Glamping -NOT!
Paws Up Montana, you are on the money – good on ya.
The highly reported and spoken about Clayoquot Wilderness Resort in Canada. Pretty awesome resort and would expect to be a real relaxed paradise.
Looks a little to formal and flash location for me, hard to see were you would have any roughing it element and be considered to be to be truely outdoor experience. Stunning Resort thou!

Ideally located in the depths of the breathtaking Karijini National Park, awaits the new and unique Karijini Eco Retreat – the first and only permanent up-market, luxury accommodation in the Park! Offering quality accommodation and facilities, this much anticipated development is now open and ready to welcome you to a new world of environmentally friendly, affordable accommodation with a touch of luxury and a taste of genuine mateship and hospitality in outback Western Australia!
The accommodation facility is 100% owned by the local Gumala Aboriginal Corporation which in turn represents the collective interests of the three Aboriginal language groups Niapiali, Bunjima and Innawonga of the Pilbara region.
Accommodation is in the style of eco tents, with choice of standard or deluxe tents. Deluxe units consist of private ensuite facilities.
Attractions are obviously the national park, with particular attention to circular pool, Dales Gorge, Hancock Gorge, Mt Bruce, Red Gorge to name a few.
This is very much an attempt to create a glamping location, West Aussie style. The novelty of luxury tent accommodation, but defientley still maintaining the simpleness and ruralness of the location.
The Pilbara can be is a very pretty part of our country, but is also a very harsh place in Summer. I could not imagine going there in summer, 35-45 degrees with no aircon. Winter camping would be my only option.
This resort definitely encompasses the concept of a great eco resort, owned by the local Gumala Aboriginal Corporation, and with a smattering of glamping elements.
Would not pick it as a typical glamourous camping location, but this would suit a customer that wants to experience the West Australian bush, with a little extra!

With inspired menus featuring wonderful local produce and nightly entertainment from our resident possum family, it really is a must!
Paperbark Camp is the perfect place from which to explore Jervis Bay, a true paradise for those who love nature and glamping.
Great feature by brilliant Zaproot, introducing the world of glamour camping – Glamping.
Glamping feature in mid way thru video so think your in the wrong place. Just love Zaproots take on issues, and that they give Think Green a huge plug. ZapRoot is an unconventional news show that covers the fast changing world of the modern Green Revolution. With sarcasm, silliness, & sanity, host Jessica Wlliamson encourages you to have a better time while making a better world. Still trying to pick her acsent thou….
Cultural critic Virginia Postrel discusses the true meanings, and the powerful uses, of glamour and the impact it has in our world. The power of glamour also has the ability to motivate, move and and bring about change-in both directions.
WARNING: Virgina’s voice is a tad frustrating, just concentrate on content spoken.
This observation on glamour and its meaning, really makes you realize things and places that you take for granted as glamorous, but just never thought of them been in the glamour basket.
Glamping has introduced us to the camping world, with a smattering of glamour. I like the fact one can afford the choice in life were you are able to take an experience like been outdoors, and glaming it up!
Our traditional core campers, love the concept of simplicity, and traditional methods that make up the experince of an outdoor camp.
I am a big YES SIR, for this new wave of glamping. It is taking people, probably who would never get out in the outdooors, and placing them in nature with a touch of glamour and style.
What considered glamourous to one, is not to another, but the net effect is that we are getting back out into nature, and letting her do a little natural healing on our souls!
